How long have been djing?
10 years
What got you into djing?
Clubbing at a night called Angel Deelite @ elemental. I loved the funky music that was played there. Back then there weren’t any cd's with the tunes I liked on, so I got some decks, went to the record shop and bought them and a dj was born!
How long have you been playing for Venus?
I have been playing on and off at Venus for 9 years. Resident for 3 years
Who would you aspire to dj with?
The dj I’d most like to play a set with has to be Eric Morillo. But back in the day when he played top funky stuff. The tunes he played and especially the accapella he linked tunes up with was a real influence on the way I dj.
Who is your favourite dj and why?
Eric Morillo for the same reasons as above
What advice would you give an aspiring dj?
The best advice I can give to an aspiring dj is to get out there in the clubbing community, make cd's and be a face to that cd. Start your own night so that people can here you play. ( that’s what I did with a group of mates) Find the music you like and find the best tunes around. Live for the music and always search out those hidden gems that no else has.
What does 2010 have in store for you?
2010 is looking good for me I’m back at my spiritual home Venus and I’m really looking forward to playing in the new venue. My ears are on the mend so it’s all go… I want to carry on with my interest in producing my own music and my main aim is to get a track out there rocking the dance floor before the sunsets on 2010.
